what a cutie! That lens is pretty darn fast, I really like the DoF it gives. Did I already whine that I want a les like this? Well, I do.

    I checked on a Canon lens, 135, f2.8, $1399.00 Canadian. Yikes!

Janis, this is the Canon lens that comes closest to the one I use: EF 100mm 1:2.8 Macro USM.

The one you mentioned is not a macro lens as far as I read about it.

Taking macro shots is real fun. I bet you'd love it too. Besides: A 100mm macro lens also makes a perfect portrait lens! ;o)

thanks for the correction, I will look for the price. I do like macros but only have a macro filter that I put on my lens.

  • .zack! @ 19.12.2006 - 22:53:46

A macro filter is not the real thing. ;o) Go for the lens! It'll be worth purchasing twice as much for a good portrait photographer like you are.

shucks! you've convinced me, flattery always works!!!
